Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses visual media to improve mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. Taking a trauma-informed, humanistic and studio art therapy approach, my practice aims to increase resiliency, identity development and secure attachment and emotional regulation for First Nations clients. This takes into account the impacts of multigenerational trauma and residential schools on attachment, identity and overall wellness. I provide art therapy services for Indigenous children, youth and families in the Montérégie (South Shore) area in quebec through the Kahnawake Education Center, a medium security prison and private practice.
